TMB still continues to rely on ADTEL for their radio systems. Following an open selection process, TMB has hired ADTEL the installation of a new digital radio system on lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 11 of Metro de Barcelona. The system has to service over 100 km of tunnels, 100 stations and 150 trains.
The project involves the technological upgrade of a critical system for railway operations with digital features that significantly improve the operational and degree Metro service. TMB has opted for DMR technology, which provides the desired functionality allowing maximum use of existing infrastructure and facilitating migration from existing analog system. ADTEL has had the manufacturer Hytera as a technology provider in this project.
This project consolidates ADTEL as expert in radio systems, especially in transport and critical systems.
