“In the same way that we are going to be an industrial country, to be a digital country.” This was pointed out by the minister for Digital Policies and Public Administration, Jordi Puigneró, given the deployment of fiber optics around the territory of Catalonia.
ADTEL participates in the digitization project proposed by the Generalitat as a telecommunications installation company to connect the regions of Catalonia. With an investment of more than 1 million euros, the Tivissa-Falset section began, crossing the municipality of Els Guiamets, to connect the regions of Ribera d’Ebre and Priorat with fiber optics.
The goal of this section is for 44% of the inhabitants of the Priorat region and 46% of the Ribera del Ebre to have access to the Generalitat’s fiber optic network in September. 35 new kilometers of fiber optics of the Generalitat are being deployed which, added to the 21 already existing, will connect seven municipalities between Ribera d’Ebre and Priorat.
